Our experienced team are here to help you get the best out of your home network. We pride ourselves with installing secure & reliable solutions for your enjoyment.
Wi-Fi is continually evolving to cater for the growing demand for providing quality connections wherever users go. The newest standard, Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax), enables Wi-Fi 6 Routers & Access Points (APs) to provide greater client capacity, enhanced range and a massive four times the performance than the previous generation WiFi 5. Enabled with WPA3 encryption (the next generation of Wi-Fi security), WiFi 6 Routers & APs will safely provide a far more enjoyable wireless experience, even in the most demanding environments.
We are currently using Wi-Fi 6 in house & have been impressed with the results. Wi-Fi devices on the future market will have this standard so now is a good time to future proof your networking equipment.
Tech iSolutions will provide you with a robust networking solution that will last as devices upgrade to the new standard of Wi-Fi. Our cost effective installation options give you peace of mind without signal blackspots.
Wi-Fi has been around for some time now. In this new connected world of ours most households now have a Wi-Fi signal supplying their devices with an internet connection. But many do not know how it works & how it can be used to its maximum potential.
Wi-Fi is a wireless technology that allows you to connect your internet enabled devices freely around your home. Common wireless devices are smart phones, ipads, android tablets & laptops. As long as you have a decent wireless signal around your home you can use the device anywhere to connect to the internet.
This technology works on radio frequencies on two bands. 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz. 2.4Ghz gives you more range, 5Ghz gives you more speed. Modern devices will switch between the two bands depending on how close you are to the router/access point.
The problem with radio frequences is of course interference. It is essential that your router/access point is located correctly for optimum performance. As every household is designed different with it's own obstructions, we only do network installatios on-site. This allows us to make sure you have the best performing network for your needs. Have you ever turned on your Microwave & lost internet connection? Microwaves are an example of Wi-Fi interference. If you have your router/access point in your kitchen we suggest moving it to a different location.
If you have poor signal in your home or have any questions about our network installation services please do not hesistate to give us a call on 0117 439 0407. We are here to help.
Different options are available depending on your requirements. If you have a small to medium home a single Wi-Fi router should have enough range. If you have a larger home there are access point & wireless mesh options available.
One way to connect a network-capable device to your router is by using powerline adapters. A powerline adapter is an alternative to running in-wall Ethernet cables or relying on possible unstable Wi-Fi. A powerline adapter has the ability to send your music, photo, video, and computer data over your household's existing electrical wiring just like it would over Ethernet cables.
Most home theater/games consoles are not in the same room as a home network's router. That wasn't much of a problem until home theater setups began to include games consoles, network players, blue-ray, Virgin/Sky boxes, apple TV's, amazon fire sticks, smart TV's and other home theater components that are able to access content from the internet and home PCs and media servers. Now it's important to find a way to connect your router in a convenient location and/or in such a way so that you can have easy access to the internet & steam photos, music, games and movies from media libraries anywhere in your home.
Unless you want to run long Ethernet cables throughout your house or pay to have Ethernet cables installed in your walls, you need another more convenient solution to connect your media player, smart TV and/or other network-enabled home theater device.
Powerline networking is ideal if you have gamers in the household. Powerline networking provides a consistant stable connection without the interferiance problems of Wi-Fi. Gaming requires consistant low latency that Wi-Fi isn't always able to provide.
Important Note: All devices MUST be on the same electrical circuit for these adapters to work. If you have multiple electric circuits in your household please check the rooms are on the same circuit as the router. Performance of these adapters depends on the quality of house wiring & correct setup of the equipment.
